Rules of Decorum
- A legitimate quorum for Conference will be composed of the members of the church that are present at the set time for conducting the business and discipline of the church.
- Conference is to be opened and closed with prayer to Almighty God.
- A moderator is to be chosen to preside over the conference by the majority of the church.
- Every motion that is seconded by another member will come under the consideration of the Conference.
- Every such motion that is seconded by another member must be voted upon, and must receive a ¾ majority vote to be passed.
- Only one person will speak at a time, and any who wish to address the Conference must seek permission from the moderator, and be recognized by him.
- All the business of the Conference shall be recorded by the clerk, or his designee, and shall be read if required by any member or the moderator.
- The Order of Business for the Conference shall be:
1. Prayer
2. Dealings in Gospel Order
3. Financial Report
4. Old Business
5. New Business
6. Adjourn
7. Prayer
- All rules may be amended by a ¾ majority vote of the Conference, as the Church deems necessary.
